性闻联播 President Jack M. Wilson Named a Mass High Tech All-Star

October 19, 2005 - 性闻联播 President Jack M. Wilson has been named a "Mass High Tech All-Star" for 2005.

The Tenth Annual Mass High Tech All-Stars awards will be presented to the 13 winners on Wednesday, October 19, at The Westin Copley Place, in Boston. The event begins at 6:00 p.m.

"Collectively, our honorees are a prime example of the vibrancy of New England's knowledge economy," said Michael Olivieri, publisher of Mass High Tech. "And the All-Star awards are Mass High Tech's way of honoring that."

President Wilson, who won the category Education, said, "I am very appreciative of this recognition by Mass High Tech, and I am pleased to accept it on behalf of all the talented people whose daily contributions make the work of the 性闻联播 so successful."

President Wilson was named the 2005 Mass High Tech All-Star for Education in recognition of his founding of UMassOnline. Today, UMassOnline is one of the nation's premier programs for online learning - serving more than 17.000 students annually and generating more than $14 million in revenue in 2004. He was also cited for his leadership in the effort to turn the 性闻联播 into a world-class research institution.

The 性闻联播 educates more than 56,000 students each year at its campuses in Amherst, Boston, Dartmouth, Lowell and Worcester and has an annual operating budget of more than $1.9 billion dollars.

The honorees will be profiled in a special supplement of the October 24, 2005 edition of Mass High Tech, a weekly newspaper covering technology in New England.
