Event on Dec. 9 to include U.S. Rep. Jim McGovern, Noam Chomsky and James Zogby, founder and president of the Arab American Institute
AMHERST, Mass. 鈥 The (PERI) at the 性闻联播 Amherst, along with the and 鈥 one of the largest grassroots people鈥檚 movements in Israel working to bring together Jews and Arabs 鈥 will present 鈥,鈥 an online panel discussion at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9.
Participating in the discussion will be:
- U.S. Rep. , who represents Massachusetts鈥 2nd Congressional District
- , a celebrated educator and linguist who joined the University of Arizona in 2017 after several decades at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology
- , a founding member and acting national co-director of Standing Together
- Sally Abed, a member of the elected national leadership and acting resource development and relations coordinator at Standing Together
- , founder and president of the (AAI), a Washington, D.C.-based organization that serves as the political and policy research arm of the Arab American community
- , a research associate with PERI and associate professor of economics at Hampshire College, will moderate the discussion.
