Isenberg hospitality and tourism management associate professor Melissa Baker was named a 鈥淔avorite Business Professor of the Class of 2020鈥 by the business school ranking and analysis website Poets & Quants in May.
鈥淲hile some professors make it obvious that their work is a job, Professor Baker鈥檚 approach to teaching makes it seem like less of a job and more of a passion,鈥 graduating senior Cassandra Raffi, an accounting major, told the website. Raffi, who traveled with Baker as part of a class trip to Italy, was asked to name a favorite professor after being named one of Poets & Quants 鈥淏est and Brightest" 2020 undergraduate students, along with sport management and OIM major Davont茅 Higginbottom.
Raffi told the publication that Baker's teaching style made the Italy trip an 鈥渦nforgettable鈥 part of her undergraduate experience.
