COBRA Federal Stimulus Package Notice 3-5-09

Under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 ("ARRA"), you may be eligible to elect COBRA continuation coverage if you elected or were eligible for COBRA continuation coverage due to your involuntary termination at any time between September 1, 2008 and December 31, 2009.

You may be eligible to elect or continue COBRA health coverage at a reduced premium, with the federal government paying part of the COBRA premium for a limited period of time. The Group Insurance Commission will contact you when the federal government provides necessary information about the details of the federal subsidy plan.
