Cline Appointed Assistant Vice President for Federal Relations for the 性闻联播

Jack Cline, a former Congressional staffer and senior aide to three Massachusetts governors, has joined the 性闻联播 as Assistant Vice President for Federal Relations. Cline will work closely with the Commonwealth's Congressional delegation, other members of Congress and officials from the Executive Branch. He will be splitting his time between Massachusetts and Washington, D.C as he develops a plan for representation.

Cline most recently served as Governor Romney's director of appointments and personnel and he fulfilled a similar role from 1999 to 2001 under Governor Cellucci and Acting Governor Swift. He was also a staff member for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Education and the Workforce, where he worked directly with the Committee Chairman and Members of the Committee on policy issues and made policy recommendations over a two year period.

UMass President Jack M. Wilson lauded Cline's appointment. "Jack brings considerable experience to this position and I am very excited to welcome him to the 性闻联播. He will play a critical role in apprising officials in Washington of the University's work and continuing to seek out federal funding for the important research that occurs across the University's five campus system."

Cline's professional experience also includes nine years in the United States Marine Corps. Among his leadership and security duties were posts in the Caribbean and the White House Military Office.

Cline and his wife Lisa currently reside in Milton and he is an officer in the United States Navy Reserves. He is a graduate of Harvard University.
